From as little as just £5 you can give the gift of giving to somebody you love. By doing this you will be giving a very special gift to BDCPS to help us to continue to provide support to our families and young people living with disabilities and complex health needs.

£5 – A Friend: Access to family groups

Helps toward providing a family that feels isolated the opportunity to get together with other families who truly understand how they feel, so they can share experiences and offer emotional support. The groups often involve activities, such as access to our family swim club, where families can enjoy an activity together and then make friendships for their challenging journey, over tea and cakes.

£10 – A Voice: Access to a helpline, home visits and advocacy

This helps toward giving a family who don’t know where to turn, a friendly and knowledgeable person to talk to; who will then listen, support them and enable them to access the right services to support the needs of their disabled child and their family.

£20 – Support: An outreach worker

You can help provide an outreach worker with specialist skills to provide hands-on, practical support to a family in crisis. Many families are facing the demands of 24-7 caring for the complex health and care needs of a life-limited child. You can provide them with someone they trust to ease the demands and keep their family going through these difficult times. (They’re also a fantastic storyteller!)

£50 – A Day at Play: Access to play opportunities

You can give a child with disabilities aspiration and hope as they access tailor made activities that focus on ability rather than disability. Your support enables all their health and care needs to be met so they can focus on the fun and their childhood. These activities will help to empower them, raise their self-esteem and make new friends.
