This time of year is usually a time where we raise lots of money, being the season of goodwill and giving! We had to think a little more creatively this year about how we can raise some of the funds we would normally achieve.
We ran a Christmas Virtual Fair on Facebook, where we had 47 stallholders who each paid £5 (some more!) to have a stall.
The feedback from this was lovely and most even said that even if they didn’t make any sales, they were just pleased to be supporting a small charity.
Many of our stall holders and a few extra people were kind enough to also donate a prize to our Christmas raffle. We sold numbers online, for £1 each and we were blown away with just how much we raised – over £650 from raffle sales alone! Online raffle tickets definitely seems the way forward!
As well as this, we had our Giving Tuesday campaign, which was an honour to share with our wider community. The first photos to where they are now was just so inspiring. It also remembered those who were no longer with us.
So with all of the above and our ACE club fundraiser, Christmas Giving page, Facebook, cash and bank donations we think we have raised over £1000 this December! We will be able to share our final figure next year when we have collated it all together!
