Thank you so much for choosing to fundraise for BDCPS. Fundraising can be a fantastic way of having some fun, whilst giving something back to a small charity. There are so many ways to fundraise! From taking part in an organised event like a 10k or half marathon, to having a bake sale, charity garage sale, or taking part in a sponsored event. The list is endless!
Whatever you decide to do, BDCPS can help out as much as needed – we have balloons, wristbands, stickers, banners, posters and collection tins available for you to borrow, and we will always try and be there at events if you would like a charity representative. Websites like JustGiving make fundraising even easier, and you can set up your own page quickly and simply, and it takes the worry out collecting cash and getting the money to us!
You can even raise money for us without having to do anything! There is an easy way to raise money when you’re doing your shopping online and you can even donate and begin fundraisers on social media platforms; Instagram and Facebook!
You can host your own event or if you would like to join in with any of our annual fundraising campaigns listed below, we would be grateful! Whatever you decide, there really are so many options that will help make a huge difference!
Dress 2 Express Day
‘DRESS 2 EXPRESS’ is our brand new annual dress up (or down!) day which has replaced ‘Wear It Blue’ day! Dress 2 Express is held on the last day of term before the Easter holidays! We need as many companies, schools, colleges, individuals to take part in this as possible. Not only to raise money but most importantly, raise awareness of BDCPS, the work we do and to raise awareness and understanding of disability. It is really easy to take part – just Dress 2 Express and donate £2! We will send you all you need to make it a fantastic event – we have posters, leaflets, balloons, wristbands, stickers and plenty of collection tins for you to borrow to make your day as successful as possible!
The date for our 2024 Dress 2 Express Day is Thursday 28th March 2024! Get the date in your diary and ask your local schools, colleges and workplaces to take part.

Cream Tea Month
Every June, we ask you to host your own cream tea event, whereby you bake (or buy!) a few cakes and scones, brew some tea and invite a few friends and family over for a small donation to BDCPS! It really is that simple!
Mince Pie Month
In December to get everyone in the festive spirit of giving, food and drink, we invite you to host your own ‘Mince Pie & Mulled Wine’ event! Like the cream teas, you just have to provide some festive nibbles and drinks of your choice and invite over a few family and friends for a small donation! Christmas is the time of giving – and what better way to give something back!?
