Skool’s Out

“Extraordinary activities for extraordinary young people”

‘Skool’s Out’ playschemes run in the school holidays for children and young people between 8 and 17 years old. These are full days (9:30am – 3:30pm) of fun, inclusive, creative and empowering activities led by experienced staff and volunteers who are all fully trained and DBS checked.  

Summer playscheme usually runs for three consecutive weeks in the school holidays. The first week is usually a training week for staff and the 3 weeks of playscheme will follow on from this. We also run Skool’s Out in October, February & May half terms and Easter.

College’s Out​

College’s Out usually runs for 2 weeks although we are responsive to your needs and the requirements in the local area, so we often extend this to the same period of time as our under 18’s playscheme.

These are full days (9:30am – 3:30pm).

Stampede

“Breaking down barriers through play”

Stampede is a specialist fun-filled monthly club for children aged 5 to 12 years. ​Activities are fun and varied. There will be sensory play along with arts and crafts, games, outdoor walks and nature activities, and of course music! Each month there is a different theme and focus. Past themes have included Roald Dahl’s Charlie & the Chocolate Factory, Star Wars and Monsters! Each month a new sign is introduced.

Stampede takes place at Ridgeway School in Kempston on the first Saturday of every month from 9:30m – 12:30pm.

JJ’s Crew

​”Removing dependence, promoting independence”

A teenage youth club for young people aged 13-17 years of age. JJ’s Crew is a lively youth club offering teenagers a chance to spend quality time together learning new things and having fun at the same time. Each month is themed (eg. teamwork, communication, healthy living) and is based loosely around three optional activities (sport, cooking and media/arts/drama). JJ’s Crew is primarily about life skills and promoting their independence.

JJ’s takes place on roughly the first Saturday of every month (term time only) at Ridgeway School, Kempston, from 12:30pm – 3:30pm.

ACE Unlimited

“Achieving, Creating, Empowering – Without Limits!”

A pioneering monthly club for those in the transition age group (18+). ACE Unlimited has recently had a bit of a shake up and it now happens out and about in the community – going places and seeing things that they enjoy! The exciting activities continue to develop life skills and independence and gives them a chance to socialise with their friends out and about! Activities include getting together at the pub, enjoying meals out, cinema and much more!​ The young people are encouraged to form cohesive peer groups and discuss and organise activities they would like to do in the future.

ACE takes place once a month and the time and day will vary according to the activity.
