Just £10 can pay for our very own special storyteller, the lovely Rachel to read a half hour virtual bedtime story to some of our youngest BDCPS children! Rachel has a magical way of immersing the children into the story and reads so that even the grown ups are mesmerised! If you would like to give a child a bedtime story, please donate £10 today. £25 can pay for an hour long session with Nathan Sounds. Nathan does sessions with our parent carers as well as the young people! These can be a relaxing sound bath, where you can completely unwind, or an interactive percussion session! If you wish to benefit our families with this incredible sound sessions, this is what £25 could do! Parent carer wellbeing is a huge priority for us. With increasing pressures, and very little time for their own respite, we include sessions specifically for our parent carers. Art and craft are proven to have a positive impact on a person’s wellbeing. £50 can cover the cost of an art box for one parent carer, so they have all they need to join our BDCPS art and craft workshops. If you can, please give £50 today. If you are feeling extra generous, £100 could go towards a day at play for one child on our Skool’s Out playschemes. This means so much – they have the opportunity to play and socialise with their peers, and join in fun, inclusive and empowering creative activities with staff who are trained to meet their care needs. A day at play can also give parent carers some time for some much needed respite – some time to catch up on housework, shopping or even spend time with their siblings! £100 could do so much for one family. Let’s not forget the siblings! At BDCPS we are about the whole family! This includes sibling activities. £500 could help pay for a one night stay for up to 5 siblings, in a yurt with adventurous outdoor activities such as climbing & sailing at places such as the Caldecotte Xperience in Milton Keynes! This gives them the chance to meet other siblings, and know that their worries and experiences are shared with others. Many of our siblings have made great friendships at BDCPS because of activities like this! If you are feeling super generous, this is what £500 could do!
