Volunteering at BDCPS is great fun and extremely rewarding! It looks great on your CV and it gives you a unique opportunity to make a difference to the lives of disabled young people in the community. It is often said that the volunteers have just as much fun at playscheme as the young people themselves!

“I would really recommend this to anybody. I think it is a brilliant experience to have in life and being able to help others is one of the best feelings in the world!”
Quote from volunteer after Summer 2019 Playscheme!

Volunteers are at the heart of all we do- we really couldn’t do it without you! It is important to us that we are able to thank our superstar volunteers, therefore each year we host an ‘Annual Volunteer Awards’ ceremony as a way of saying ‘thank you’ to our incredible volunteers. We are also keen to put forward our volunteers for local and national recognition awards.

Volunteers build up points based on how much they do and bonus points are awarded for going that extra mile! At the end of each year, a certificate details the hours you have given to us!

If you can spare a few hours a month to volunteer at any of our clubs at weekends and occasional evenings and in the school holidays, we’d love to hear from you! You can give as little or as much time as you are able to and you can plan these dates around your existing commitments such as work, school or college.

BDCPS are committed to safeguarding and all volunteers will undergo an enhanced DBS check. You can volunteer from 13 years old. Please complete the application form here. If you would prefer a paper copy you can download it here along with the role description.
