June is nearly upon us which can only mean one thing…Cream Tea Month! This is your chance to gather a few people together and host your own little cream tea fundraiser and we will leave it up to you to argue whether it should be cream first or jam!

We are organising a community fundraiser on Friday 30th June, which is officially National Cream Tea Day. You can come along and join us for a delicious cream tea and a chat with friends at the lovely Church of the Transfiguration, Kempston, for a small donation to BDCPS.

Of course, the great debate of whether it is cream first or jam, continues, but, did you know a recent survey by Rodda’s Cornish Clotted Cream, 61% prefer jam first, then cream!? 68% of people prefer clotted cream over whipped or double too!

If you are one of the 68% that enjoy clotted cream, you are in luck! We will be serving our cream teas with donations of delicious creamy clotted cream from Rodda’s, at our event on Friday 30th June. Perfect!

We are in need of some helpers on the day to either help set up/tidy up, serve refreshments and wash up!  We also need cake and scone donations, so if you can help with either of these, please get in touch.

As well as our Cream Tea Day event, Richard Pool, a volunteer driver has organised a Strawberry Cream Tea fundraiser for us on Thursday 8th June at the rear of Trinity Methodist Church, Shortmead Street in Biggleswade. This is between 2-4pm and is £5 for a strawberry cream tea, with all proceeds going directly to BDCPS!

If you want to host your own cream tea fundraiser, no matter how big or small, get in touch for any promotional materials, banners and collection tins!
