Summer is the season for raising some money and we have been swept away with all the incredible efforts and organised activities that different people and organisations have put on for us over the summer time!
Bedford based company, SDC, have been running lots of fundraising activities for various charities in celebration of their 50th year! Employees in the company have been nominating their favourite charities and BDCPS were chosen as one of them, for the water sports fundraiser at Box End, Kempston Rural.
“To mark SDC’s fiftieth year in business, the company is holding a series of events in a pledge to raise £110,000 for local charities and community groups. There are a wide variety of ways to participate in the fundraising efforts, ranging from solo sporting challenges and team pursuits, to more leisurely activities such as a pub quiz, auction evening and family day out. Each event will provide an opportunity for SDC’s staff, clients, supply chain and key partners to combine forces to raise money for the chosen charities.”
The team at SDC greeted us with such warmth, and treated us like VIP’s! With a nice shaded area, drinks fridge and even free ice creams! It was a pleasure to be part of such a super family friendly day out!, where some of our own BDCPS families went along to enjoy too.
The highlight was of course being presented with a cheque for a whopping £5000! A huge thanks to everyone for such an incredible amount of money at a successful and inclusive event.
